Guarantee
State of Louisiana Rules & Regulations governs all warranties and guarantees.
Cajun Cockers has done all that is possible to ensure that your new puppy is in good health, and that it is a very social little creature, at the time of delivery to you. It is very important to your new baby's health that you continue to provide all necessary vaccinations, a healthy diet, regular veterinary care, adequate living conditions and lots of TLC - tender loving care. To start off right, it is necessary that a licensed Veterinarian examine your puppy within 72 hours of receiving the puppy. If the puppy is purchased on a holiday or week-end, then the puppy must be taken to a licensed veterinarian on the following working day for examination. If your regular veterinarian is not available, you are required to take the puppy to another veterinarian or this guarantee will be null and void. Please start a folder of Puppy's medical records and be sure to keep a copy of this first check-up. For this health guarantee to remain valid, owner must keep puppy up to date on all necessary vaccines and medications necessary -relevant to the local area you live in.
Cajun Cockers puppies that require shipping by air or commercial carrier go to their new owners checked by our Board Certified Veterinarian. If you are picking up your puppy in person, and request a health certificate, one will be obtained for a $75 fee, required before taking possession of puppy. He will issue a health certificate stating that the puppy has been inspected and found free from visible signs of infection, contagious or communicable disease. Please do not take your new puppy into public places unless absolutely necessary, until the puppy has had all its vaccinations (as recommended by your veterinarian) to insure immunity against disease.
Your new puppy is guaranteed against life-threatening congenital defects for the period of 1 year from date of birth. If a life-threatening congenital defect is found within that time frame, and is verified by Cajun Cockers licensed veterinarian, a replacement puppy will be given. For this guarantee to be honored, the puppy and all registration papers, and veterinarian records must be returned to us. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser. In case of death, an autopsy or postpartum diagnosis is necessary, and medical records will need to be sent or faxed to our veterinarian. He will review the report and have final say about the cause of death (congenital or non-congenital cause).
All veterinarian charges incurred by the purchaser are the sole responsibility of the purchaser, and will under NO circumstances be paid by us, Cajun Cockers. ~ Basically, the purchaser/owner of puppy, acknowledges that puppy ownership involves vet bills and puppy expenses.
A diagnosis of coccidia, giardia, parasites, kennel cough or any other type of bacterial /viral infection does not render your puppy unhealthy. These items /germs can be found on the ground, in water, and public places. Parvo is also not covered by this contract /guarantee, as the puppy has only been started on it's inoculations prior to going to their new home and family. Your puppy's immune system is not fully developed until he/she has completed it's series of puppy shots. Therefore we strongly urge you to take the following precautions:
1. Visits to the vet: Never put your puppy on the floor or the ground outside of the clinic, instead carry your puppy or use a pet carrier. Ask the vet staff to disinfect the exam table before you set your pup down for his/her exam. I know this may sound overly cautious but there are a lot of animals visiting the vet.
2. Dog parks, pet shops, puppy preschool and areas where other dogs of unknown health may have visited, should be off limits until your pup has completed his/her series of puppy shots.
It is important for the good health of your puppy, to complete the worming and vaccinations needed to ensure that your puppy continues to enjoy good health.
Cajun Cockers is not responsible for any illness/diseases that the puppy could acquire after leaving our premises. All puppies are checked by our Licensed Veterinarian, and are found to be in good health before leaving here.
Although our puppies are bred to AKC standard, and most have excellent conformation, we can make NO guarantees of "Show Quality". Our main concern and objective, is to raise beautiful, healthy companions. We also cannot guarantee adult size, color or temperament.
We reserve the right to NOT sell our puppies to people if we do not feel it will be in the puppy's best interest. If that determination is made, buyer's deposit will be refunded.
This guarantee is non-transferable, if a legal action should occur, it will be dealt with in the state of Louisiana, parish of Terrebonne
.
Out of state laws are not valid per this guarantee. All attorney fees will be billed to the buyer.
Thank you for adopting and loving, one of our precious puppies. We truly wish you many years of health and happiness together.
